Q. When should I schedule Wedding Gown Alterations

We recommend reaching out to schedule your alterations as soon as you say yes to the dress!

Our calendar fills quickly, especially during peak wedding season (April–October), when we typically book 6–8 months in advance. During the off-season (November–March), we recommend booking 4–6 months ahead.

Your first fitting is usually scheduled about 10–12 weeks before your wedding day, with follow-up appointments as needed.

Q. Why do I have to choose a fitting package?

Rather than charging a fitting fee for each appointment, our fitting packages cover the cost of the time for 3 or more fittings, an emergency kit, and the ability to pick and choose your own appointments at your leisure.

Q. How many Fitting will I have?

A bride will have 3 fittings and a pick up appointment, although more fittings are sometimes necessary (sometimes only 1 appointment and a pick up is all that’s needed). Any special occasion (mom and bridesmaid) will have 1 appointment and a pick up appointment. Reinvention projects can be 4 or more.

Q. Can you accommodate last-minute alterations or rush orders for brides with tight timelines?

Yes, at an additional rush fee and if availability allows. Any alterations that require less than 6 weeks to turn around is subject to rush fees.

Please submit an inquiry form and I will connect with you to set up a custom expedited timeline.

Q. What should I bring with me to my fittings?

Your dress, wedding shoes, shape wear and any accessories you want to try out. You can also bring your veil if you want it steamed. If you are planning on getting your reception dress or rehearsal dinner dress altered, please let me know in advance.

Q. Can you accommodate changes in my body shape or weight closer to the wedding date?

Communication is key! Whether you're on a weight loss journey or trying to conceive, keeping me informed will help me create a personalized timeline for your alterations, ensuring you feel at ease throughout the process. Remember, alterations should enhance your lifestyle, not restrict. So embrace your journey, and let me handle the details!

Q. What is the average cost of bridal alterations?

Many brides often assume that alterations inexpensive and less than the cost of their dress. However, alterations typically range from $500 to $1200, depending on the details and construction of the gown, which can only be fully assessed once the dress is opened up. It's also to note that purchasing a dress off-the-rack, used, or at a discount may result in higher alteration costs than the price of the dress itself. Be sure to budget accordingly to achieve the perfect fit for your special day.

Q. Do you offer customizations or embellishments for my gown?

I do, during your consultation I will advise on needed alterations and then you will have time to tell me about your bridal vision and we will discuss and design modifications together. There is no need to find your materials for these things, I am your personal shopper for all things gown!
